There I was, stuck at a Mercury drugstore one afternoon, staring at the rain falling on the busy, black, asphalt roadway outside. A thought came drifting out of nowhere, and I asked myself: why doesn't it rain like this in Manila?
Then I realized, Manila would be unbearable if it had Surigao's weather. Lots of rain, heat and humidity plus equally generous amounts of congestion and pollution is a recipe for a tropical urban nightmare.  Labels: rantings, Surigao, weather |
