rainwalking

I was walking home last night...
A light rain had begun to fall.

It felt so good to have the rain fall on me - the pinpricks of cold wetness blossoming on my skin. I felt so alive in the cold night air, being the lone warm body walking through a landscape of shadow-strewn coldness.

Thank God for life's simple pleasures, however peculiar they may seem to be.

Never mind if I might've caught a cold. I always seem to do so anyway, regardless of what I do or where I happen to find myself in... but seldom (if ever) because of getting myself a little bit wet alone.

Cool climes and cold weather trigger a strange thrill within; a sudden rush of life that heightens my senses, lends depth to my perception and sets my mind off to drift in deep thought.

I guess the coldness is a part of me. I don't quite know what to make of that. Is that supposed to be good or bad? Should I be happy about it or downright sad? Could it be a cause for concern or something I should just put out of my head?

Nonetheless, I love the cold... if only for the reason that that it makes me seek what is warm and treasure whatever warmth there is that I posses.

About Me: Let me tell you what I'm not: I am not predisposed to bare my guts and soul here in the internet for the whole world to see just for the sake of it. It's just that I like writing, in the free and unstructured way that blogging provides for. I simply want to express what I think and feel. Is that too much to ask? Which leads me to my next point... I am not invulnerable, in spite of all my attempts to put on a face of cool composure, and desperately wanting I was good enough to fool myself. In short, I am not really what I seem. So, would you still take my ramblings seriously?
