Cold silence
|
Nothing burns like ice.
I’m in another one of my anti-social moods again.
Apart from common courtesies and the customary greetings and replies, the messages I receive rarely go answered – unless it’s absolutely needed or considered rude not to reply. You’d be wasting your pesos if you try to hear from me or ask me how I’m doing. No, I don’t want to talk to anyone. I’d rather brood and be alone. I even intend on (discreetly) avoiding my high school friends and the big events planned by my schoolmates for this Christmas break.
And the ill temper – something which all four of us siblings seem to share in varying forms and degrees, yes, but still the very same quicksilver temper – is clawing its way back again.
It never really does get cold here in Surigao. The temperatures drop because of the now daily but still unpredictable rains, but the winds themselves remain warm. They never grow cold.
