The Economics of Beauty

We had Bb. Pilipinas-Universe Anna Theresa Licaros as one of the speakers in our Educational Discussion Thursday last week. She's actually pretty, but she looks a bit different in person. Personally, I thinks she looks better on TV. No wonder she was Ms. Photogenic at the 2007 Miss Universe.
Anyway, the talks were quite interesting and informative. We also had Dean de Dios of UPSE alog with Dr. Tecson, and Mr. Dan Roces of PMAP.
And oh, Batch Timbali is now officially part of UP ETC. Yay.
But I can't understand the way I felt during our Final Rites last Saturday. It was weird. I mean, sure I'm happy about it and all. But I'm not jumping up and down about it either. Nor was I reduced to tears like some of my batchmates. Oh well, let's just say that I don't feel just as strongly about it as my batchmates might have felt that night. And I can't quite put a finger on the reason why...Labels: rantings |
